INTERNATIONAL INDIACA ASSOCIATION

History of IIA

1998

The idea to create the International Indiaca Association was at first discussed during German Gymnastics Festival on 5.06.1998 in Munich between the representatives from Germany, Japan, Luxembourg and Estonia.

2000

The foundation group of the IIA arranged a preparation meeting for the constituent assembly of the IIA on February 19th and 20th  2000 in Hamburg / Germany. The main subjects were:  The draft of the IIA statutes and organizing of the constituent assembly of the IIA.

26th  May:  constituent assembly in Mahlow/Berlin with six countries: Brazil, Estonia, Germany, Japan, Slowakia, Swizerland.

26th  May and 28th  May:  election of the first IIA Authorities. Viktor Saaron (EST) is elected as first president of IIA, Heinz-Karl Kraus (GER) is elected as first President of TC-IIA and Vice President of IIA.

2001

The Federation of Luxembourg joined the IIA. The IIA consist now of 7 federations: Brazil, Estonia, Germany, Japan, Luxembourg, Slowakia and Switzerland.

The 1st World Championships in Tartu  (17th -19th August)

2002

Karlheinz Bührer (GER) is elected as President of TC-IIA and Vice President.

The 1st World Cup in Karlsruhe  (1-3 November)

2004

The Federation of Italy joined the IIA. The IIA consist now of 8 federations: Brazil, Estonia, Germany, Italy, Japan, Luxembourg, Slowakia and Switzerland.

The 2nd World Championships in Tsukuba / Japan (21-24 August)

2006

The 2nd World Cup in Viljandi  (9-13 August)

2007 

The 1st Junior World Cup in Malterdingen / Germany (1-4 August)

2008

The IIA consist now of 5 federations: Estonia, Germany, Japan, Luxembourg and Switzerland.

Karlheinz Bührer (GER) is elected as President of IIA. Andrus Novoseltsev (EST) is elected as President of TC-IIA and Vice-President of IIA.

The 3rd World Championship in Ettelbruck / Luxembourg (20-24 August)

2009  

The 2nd Junior World Cup in Noo / Estonia (5-8 August)

2010 

The Federation of Korea joined the IIA. The IIA consist now of 6 federations: Estonia, Germany, Korea, Japan, Luxembourg and Switzerland.

The 3rd Open World Cup in Tartu / Estonia (18-21 of August)

2011 

The 3rd Open Junior World Cup in Rozogi / Poland (3-6 of August)

2013

The 4th World Championship in Bietigheim-Bissingen / Germany (22-27 of July)

2014

The 4th Open Junior World Cup in Ettelbruck / Luxembourg (6-9 of August)

2015

The 4th Open World Cup in Saitama City / Japan (25-29 of August)

2016

The 4th Open Junior World Cup in Tartu / Estonia (1-4 of August)

2017

The 5th World Championship in Rozogi / Poland (7-12 of August)

2018

The 5th Open Junior World Cup in Dülmen / Germany (1-4 of August)

2019

The 5th Open World Cup in Tartu / Estonia (27-31 of July)

2022

The Federation of India joined the IIA. The IIA consist now of 7 federations: Estonia, Germany, India, Korea, Japan, Luxembourg and Switzerland.

Ben Ewers (LUX) is elected as President of TC-IIA and Vice-President of IIA

The 6th World Championship in Luxembourg City / Luxembourg (2-6 of August)

2023

The 6th Open World Cup in Leuze-en-Hainaut / Belgium (1-5 of August)

2025

The IIA consist now of 6 federations: Estonia, Germany, India, Japan, Luxembourg and Switzerland.

The 25th Anniversary of IIA

The 7th World Championship in Tartu / Estonia (4-10 August)
